During the summer months, all Science Factory Camp locations will be closed on July 4th and July 3rd in 2026.
Questions?
If you have any questions about closed days at Science Factory Camps, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thank you for being part of our camp family!
We know that nothing is more important than the safety and well‑being of our campers. While our staff is trained to maintain a safe, supportive environment, we know that bumps, scrapes, and occasional medical needs can happen.
What happens if my camper is injured?
If an injury occurs, our staff follows a structured response:
-
Immediate care is provided by trained staff.
-
Assessment to determine whether the injury is minor or requires first aid and/or medical attention.
-
Documentation of the incident in our internal injury log if determined that it is an injury that will require care.
-
Notification of parents/guardians, depending on the severity (explained below).
Your camper’s safety and comfort are our top priorities.
Will I be notified if my child is injured?
Yes—our communication policy is designed to keep families informed:
-
For minor injuries (small cuts, scrapes, bump, insect bites): If reported by the camper, you may receive an end‑of‑day update from staff when picking up depending on the severity.
-
For moderate/major injuries (head, neck, face, genitals, burns): We contact you as soon as possible to make you aware of the injury.
-
For emergencies: You are contacted immediately, and appropriate medical services are engaged.
Passes for Science Factory Camp cannot be transferred between children because each pass is tied to a specific reservation. Our daily reservation system ensures we maintain accurate attendance records, comply with safety regulations, and provide the appropriate staff-to-child ratio for a safe and enjoyable experience.
The safety of our campers is our top priority. To ensure a secure environment, we follow these check-in and check-out procedures:
Check-In
-
An adult (18 years or older) must accompany each camper at drop-off.
-
The adult must remain with the camper until they are officially checked into camp.
Check-Out
-
Campers may check themselves out only with parent/guardian permission.
-
If you choose to allow your child to check themselves out, please contact your local director in advance so the proper protocols can be followed.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep every camper safe!
We completely understand that scheduling appointments can be a challenge, and we want to assure you that leaving camp for appointments and then returning is completely acceptable. We want to prioritize your well-being and any necessary medical or personal appointments, so please don’t hesitate to communicate with your camp director about needs.
Bringing Medication to Camp
We want to ensure that all campers have their medication in an organized and safe manner while they stay with us.
Parents/guardians should bring medications for their campers in a labeled box or bag, and in the original packaging.
Families will be asked to fill out a Medication Authorization form for all of their medications.
If they haven’t already filled out the form prior to first day, they will need to fill it out once they arrive. All medications will be stored in a secure place at camp headquarters and will be administered to campers according to the Medication Authorization form.
To ensure that your child’s medications are secure, please fill out the Medication Authorization form for any medications you are bringing to camp. You can find the form here.
Thanks for helping us ensure that all campers have the medication they need!
Our doors are open to all children to join camp. We have had many children with special needs, disabilities, or health conditions attend camp, some with support and others on their own.
Therapist
Children requiring services for a disability or medical-related reason may be approved to receive services while in attendance at Camp from their therapist after meeting the following requirements:
-
Child Health Care Plan signed by a physician–required annually.
-
A completed and clear background check within 12 months of attendance for the therapist (may be provided by a third-party employer)
-
Therapist and One to One Support acknowledgement form completed by the therapist.
-
Therapists and Child Support Personnel – Release completed by the parent/guardian.
The foregoing applies only to accommodations for a disability or medical-related reason. Outside of these reasons, Science Factory Camp does not permit nannies, family members, or other third parties to accompany a child or attend our programs.
Any one-to-one support or therapist that accompanies a camper to Science Factory Camp is subject to the same rules, guidelines, and instructions as Science Factory Camp Staff, and they must act in accordance with any applicable laws.
Please reach out to your local site director to discuss setting up a therapist while at camp.
To ensure the safety of all campers and staff, our camps conduct emergency drills at least once a month during the summer and in some locations, more frequently if required by licensing or local regulations.
These drills prepare everyone for potential emergency situations, including:
-
Evacuation
-
Shelter-in-place
-
Lock-out
On the day a drill is scheduled, our team will post notification signs outside the camp. If you have any questions or concerns about these procedures, please contact your local team.

One to One Support
While we provide accommodations for disability or medical-related reasons, we are a group program and do not provide one-to-one care; however, families/guardians may provide that level of support at their own expense.
Children requiring an accommodation for a disability or medical-related reason may be approved to receive one-to-one support provided by the family/guardian at their own cost after meeting the following requirements:
-
Child Health Care Plan signed by a physician–required annually.
-
A completed and clear background check within 12 months of attendance for the therapist (may be provided by a third-party employer).
-
Therapist and One to One Support acknowledgement form completed by the support.
-
Therapists and Child Support Personnel – Release completed by the parent/guardian.
Please reach out to your local site director to discuss needing one-to-one support while at camp.
At Science Factory Camp, kids unleash their inner mad scientist in a glorious mix of science, art, and innovation. Campers ages 6–12 dive into hands-on projects adults would never allow at home—messy experiments, bold builds, and creative chaos that spark real learning.
Each week brings a new theme—space, animals, ocean, and more—anchored by activities that blend science with art and imagination. Whether kids are mixing potions, modeling solar systems, or pulling off engineering feats, everything connects back to the week’s big idea.
With intentionally low screen time, kids learn through trial and error, embrace the mess, and build confidence as they create, destroy, and explore.
Our summer camp program is designed for children ages 6–12. Campers must be at least 6 years old by their first day of camp.
Additionally, all campers must be fully toilet trained.
To ensure readiness, please review our full Toilet Training Policy.
For the best camp experience, we ask that campers are at least 6 years old by their first day—ready to launch into a full day of discovery!
If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always happy to chat and help find the perfect formula for your little scientist’s success.
Refunds, Financial Aid, Tax ID/EIN, and Receipts
We are excited to announce that our 2026 Financial Aid program will officially open on February 1st! We understand that the cost of camp may be a factor for some families, but we are here to help. Our financial aid program offers reduced prices for all pass types to qualifying families. We carefully consider each application, taking into account current income as well as the previous year’s income and family size. It’s important to note that income requirements may differ by state, as we want to ensure a fair and equitable process for all families.
Our financial aid passes work just like our regular passes, giving you access to all the same fun activities and opportunities at camp. However, please keep in mind that these passes are only valid for the calendar year and cannot be transferred or sold. Also, please note that acceptance into the 2026 program does not guarantee acceptance in future years.
For more information about the program and how to apply, please visit our website at the following link: https://sciencefactorycamp.com/financial-aid/. We are here to help make camp accessible for all families, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We can’t wait to see you at camp!
